Why does it have to be that way?

Why does one get arrested for a DUI and then the DMV plays judge, jury, and hangman?

This is what has happened to me since last Thanksgiving. I was on a date with a lovely Woman having a glass of wine, some cheese, good conversation. There was a piano so I sat down to play her some Jazz. Then I got it in my head to get my Guitar which was across the square in Sonoma, CA. As I was walking across the street a police car was turning the corner. He followed me around the square . He then allowed me to enter and drive off in my truck (in California a officer of the law is mandated, if he believes a person to be intoxicate, to prevent came person from entering his or her vehicle).

Net result...I was stopped, accused of being drunk, thrown against my truck bodily, hand-cuffed (I still retain a scare from that).

Who works for who in this country of ours?
